You can't put it all on Obama. He can't do too much by himself. We really need to clean house in Congress, then place term limits on those positions. The big money is running this country through lobbys.

Agreed! Also, much is on Americans who are lazy and simply whine and complain and expect government handouts.
by WEEZEROFOZ October 7, 2010 12:00 PM EDT
can't put it all on him, but what about all those campaign promises...all we got was a lot of lies, and barry soetoro would throw us all under the bus for his own personal gain.

America needs strong leadership now more than ever, our wimpy, limp-wristed democracy is just too weak for the uncertain future, and these times of trouble. We need to throw away our elected from of democracy, and switch to a strong dictator who can lead our nation on the straight and narrow path to a certain future. Or possible a rule by committee of strong men. We need a leader who can stomp out the rot at home and abroad.

Why don't you just come out and say what you really mean: America needs to emulate Germany of the 1930s and install a Hitler, who can then "stomp out the rot" at home and abroad? That worked out real well for Germany, didn't it?

Another point about jobs. California is pretty Liberal looney Democrat. An illustration of the hypocrisy of the Left regarding energy is amazing! If you go to Hollywood/West Hollywood/Beverly Hills etc. you find all these people driving SUV's, and large gas consuming cars. DWP, (Los Angeles Department Water of Power) still gets 50% from Coal power and nothing in comparison from Solar, Wind, Wave etc.. A huge amount of desert and no Solar Panels? They don't expand the energy grid at all!

The title of this article should read "Half of Americans to scared and angry to care about facts"

And the other half only pays attention to the half of the facts so they can act like they are accomplishing good things and helping to improve the situation.

Just look at the charts below. Don't go by feelings! Look at FACTS!

Good grief - It took 8 years for Bush & Co. to trash our economy and now we say Obama is a failure because it has not returned to normal in less then two years? What? Are we a nation of impatient children?

Good grief I guess all those jobs Obama promised are Bush's fault too. Good green jobs.... Where are they Obama??? Obama without a doubt the worst President ever....
by bcc243 October 7, 2010 10:13 AM EDT
it took 8 years blah blah. for 6 of the 8 bush years our economy was booming off the charts and unemployment was below 4%. Now obama has taken it to 10% with zero chance it will get any lower before he's out of office. If he would have done nothing, our economy would have been back by now. Instead he tried to "fix" health care and killed any chance of a recovery until the health bill is repealed.
by realist51 October 7, 2010 10:31 AM EDT
bcc recheck your facts on the unemployment. not once under the bush republicant rule did it drop to under 4%.That was the last few months under clinton. even after the taxcuts it always hoovered around 4.5 to 5%. the other factor was the republican introduction of legislation that gutted the glass/stegal legislation and lead to the dirivative markets and down fall of the economy Obama had nothing to do with any of this, and HCR has nothing to do with the economy going sour from the republican agenda hcr was not passed until 2010 and the economy started to tank in 07 and 08 hcr wasn't even legislation then . and the age old question always needs to come up.What has a republican done for america lately.answer same as what they are doing now. NOTHING

I am not sure why people are still being duped by Obama. The stuff that he is pulling to make this a socialist country is upsetting. Anyone that wants to be a socialist should get of the same boat to Europe as Obama. Watch the behind the scene things he is pulling at the UN and as attachments to bills that will be come laws.
by SoCalSuperSage October 7, 2010 10:07 AM EDT
Thank you President Obama for having more people on food stamps then any time in our country's history... .... Way to go you've made even Jimmy Carter look good...

You can replace the word republican with democrat as well.

>>> by rightbehind October 7, 2010 10:05 AM EDT, "Republican ideology feeds on ignorance, fear, and desperation. Don' be their victim. Throw them out of office." LOL. A statement such as that assures that you will always live up to your handle - rightbehind and no chance of catching up.
by jgg000101 October 7, 2010 10:43 AM EDT
here's the reality: You have more people on food stamps, unemployment benefits and welfare than at any time in history. In addition, you have record numbers of foreclosures, almost 15% of the population living in poverty, rising unemployment, a downward spiral in consumer confidence, a devaluing dollar, and more money spent than all the presidents in history combined. On top of that, our allies don't know who's side we're on, and the rest of the world thinks we are weak. Anyone who doesn't know this is "ignorant". And the "fear and desperation" comes from anyone who is trying to defend this administration and it's policies that have proven to be epic failures, from the stimulus to cash for clunkers to the financial regulations bill to the healthcare plan.

Republican conservative ideology has robbed us all. As a businessman I need lots of customers with cash. Not just 1 CEO that makes 16 thousand dollars an hour. The economy is well on the mend. This President and the real democrats have dome it right. We need to stay on this path and send the republicans into their 1000 years of silence.

LOL! Your kidding right? Of this nations 13 trillion dollar debt Bush is responsible for 5.2 trillion of it. Republican Presidents are responsible for 8.2 of it.
